HR Generalist (3 Months Contract)
o Develop and administer staffing/employment/recruiting programs.
o Determine appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions. Promote the company image to candidates and external service providers. Surface candidates and develop networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Work with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns. Provide performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources.
o Work with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings as required opening requisition(s). Pre-screen resumes and evaluate effectiveness of electronic candidate evaluation tools. Document candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiate and/or support hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers. Conduct employment background checks.
o Develop, support and maintain college recruiting, affirmative action and career development programs.
o May also assist with the immigration process and administration as a liaison with immigration attorneys.
o Conduct New Hire Orientation. Coordinate supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff.
o Use needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of proposed training programs.
o Interact with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepare lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented.
o Instruct participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions.
