Lead in the planning and project management of mobile money and payment related value-added services, including technology studies and selection, capacity planning, service rollout and service performance improvement, etc.
Lead in preparation of tender specifications, evaluation of tender from both a technical and commercial standpoint. Engage in commercial and technical negotiation with existing and potential vendors
Effective use of project management methods, technical apprehension to manage vendors during the project implementation, and ensure on time and to specifications delivery.
Interface with vendors and internal cross functional teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, Engineering, Operation) to ensure on-time delivery of technical solutions, and compliance for product specifications and accuracy as per RFP response
Responsible for technical aspects of end-to-end solutions delivery, deployment, system integration, and user acceptance of the project.
Lead on-site troubleshooting efforts, and work with engineering teams for a quick resolution of any potential technical issue.
Plan the near- and long-term network architecture and capacity needs relating to mobile money & payment related value-added services. Perform technical and financial feasibility studies on new emerging technologies.
Manage capital expenditure during project planning and implementation with proper forecasting & tracking to ensure the expenditure is within the approval limit in business case.
Engage regional counterparts to identify and realise cost and operational synergies
To carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Degree in Engineering majoring in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Mobile Communications.
Preferably with minimum 2 years working experience in computer networking or the telecommunications industry, especially in the role of project manager. Preference will be given to candidates with project management certifications such as CAPM, PMP, CITPM.
Knowledge and experience in mobile money & payment services will have significant advantage.
Sound understanding of IT related technology such as network, software systems and communications.
Good negotiation and influencing skill, and working independently are essential. Good interpersonal skills, and be both a leader and a team player across different groups and levels.
Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
Basic knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including GSM, GPRS, 3G, HSDPA.
Knowledge of value-added services such as mobile charging solutions including the postpaid and prepaid, WAP, short-messaging service, or mobile applications is an advantage.
Basic understanding of legal contracts.
Basic financial knowledge of project procurement, including capital and operational expenditures.
